How it finished
Spain won the tournament. They beat Argentina 1-0 in the final on 19 July 2026, after extra time.
South Africa went further than ever before. Mexico won the opening match 2-0. Czechia drew 1-1 with Bafana. Then South Africa beat the Republic of Korea 1-0. That put Bafana second in Group A and into the round of 32. Canada won that match 1-0 with a goal in stoppage time.
